NBA Fans Blast Anthony Davis After Poor Performance vs. Phoenix Suns

2 Min Read

While Sunday afternoon was terrific for Deandre Ayton and his Phoenix Suns, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers struggled to get things going in Arizona. As a result, they lost Game 1 of their first-round playoffs series.

Ayton and Devin Booker ended up outplaying Davis and LeBron James, getting a 99-90 win in their playoffs debut. The Suns did a pretty good job stopping the Lakers, especially AD, who had a terrible game.

Following this duel, “ADisney” was trending on Twitter. This was the nickname that internet trolls gave to Anthony after winning a ‘Mickey Mouse’ ring with the Lakers in the Orlando bubble.

Well, just after they went off on Paul George on Saturday, it was Davis’ turn to suffer the anger of the NBA community. They blasted the Brow for his poor performance that included 13 points and 7 rebounds in 39 minutes.

Davis took the blame for the Lakers’ loss, saying he needs to do a lot better if his team wants to have a chance to beat the inspired Suns. The purple and gold, and their star, need to bounce back in Game 2, or things will get more complicated.

This entire season hasn’t been easy for the Lakers. They have dealt with injuries and inconsistency. Yet, if there’s a time to turn things around, it’s right now. They can get eliminated in the first round of the postseason this year, ruining LeBron James’ perfect record in this stage.
