NBA Fans Calls Out Julius Randle After Another Bad Performance: "He Can't Be The First-Option For The New York Knicks"

Julius Randle- "I Want To Retire A Knick."

Julius Randle's performance for the New York Knicks has started to go from bad to worse, as the big man is struggling to find a rhythm. He was impressive last season, winning the 2021 Most Improved Player award but has gone cold since the start of the new season.

Fans are livid with his performances so far and are having a hard time understanding how he went from a dominant player last season to being so out of rhythm.

In the Knicks' last game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Randle was 2-of-9 from the field and finished the game with 8 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 turnovers. For a player who they run their offense through, such incredibly poor scoring is unacceptable. After a Reddit user posted the statline on Reddit/NBA, fans trooped into the comment session to air their grievances.

"Genuinely don’t understand this. I thought he’d obviously regress from last year but sheesh he’s probably playing worse than before that as well"

"Before he wasn't asked to be a first option."

"This is really it. He's obviously still an incredibly talented player. But he's not a first option. He's not good enough, nor does he have the basketball IQ to consistently make the right play when defenses key on him. He should be a good team's really good 2nd/3rd banana. He can't be your whole offense."

"Julius only works on prime-time"

"he's regressed back to his Laker days"

"Back in the day, he used to be called 'Dubious Handles.'"

"I feel like it's almost a confidence issue with him, I haven't watched a ton of knicks games this year but his body language was awful, he looked defeated by the second quarter"

"Only 30 games into the season and Randle is already in playoff form"

"Alternatively - dribble left. bad turnover. yell at refs. repeat."

"He stopped being aggressive these past few games"

"Julius “No Handle” Randle"

Earlier in the season, Kemba Walker stepped up and played a significant role in helping the Knicks win 5 of their first 7 games, especially with Randle not being as effective. But since he was removed from the rotation by head coach Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks have gone 2-6 in their last eight games.
