Nikola Jokic just continues to amaze us on a nightly basis. The Serbian superstar is enjoying another magical season, and now that he finally has some talent around him, he has taken the Denver Nuggets to the top of the Western Conference.

The Nuggets now have a 27-13 record after winning 3 in a row and 5 of their last 6, with the latest win coming over the Los Angeles Lakers. Jokic had quite a game against them, too, as he finished with 14 points, 16 assists, and 11 rebounds while shooting a perfect 5-5 from the field, 1-1 from beyond the arc, and 3-3 from the line.

“History for Nikola Jokic “

“He is the 3rd player in NBA history to record multiple triple-doubles with 100% shooting.”

The first time he had a triple-double with 100% shooting from the field was against the Phoenix Suns back in 2018, although he did miss a free throw in the game, so he wasn’t perfect like in this instance. Jokic has now joined Wilt Chamberlain and Draymond Green as the only players to have accomplished this feat multiple times.

Michael Porter Jr. Says Nikola Jokic Can Win The Next 5 MVPs

Thanks to these amazing displays, Jokic is once again a strong contender for MVP, and he might well be leading the race. If the Nuggets can hold on to the top seed and he keeps doing what he has been doing all season. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he wins his 3rd straight MVP.

The last person to do it was Larry Bird all the way back in the 1980s, as voter fatigue usually sets in. Michael Porter Jr. is hoping that won’t be the case with Jokic and stated that his teammate can win the next 5 MVPs if the voters don’t get tired of giving it to him. Another 5 is outlandish, but there’s no doubt Jokic can win it this season.
