Clipperholics

Patrick Beverley is a prominent role player who is known for being a solid 3 and D guard, with an emphasis on the defense. He is a pest that can bother many perimeter players, and many have lauded his ability on that end.

A lot of people know Beverley from his time on the Los Angeles Clippers, as he helped the franchise become more competitive prior to the arrival of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. He is particularly beloved among Clippers fans, who enjoyed his hard-nosed defense and toughness.

Beverley was recently asked about his favorite moment with the Los Angeles Clippers. Beverley took a sly shot at the Lakers in his response, claiming that the Clippers “turned this Laker city into a Clipper city” while he was there, and “gave the fans something to be excited about”.

“I got no regrets. Wouldn’t change anything. We put on for the city. We turned this Laker city into a Clipper city and that’s all you can ask for. We gave the fans something to be excited about.”

Lots of smiles man, lots of smiles… I got no regrets. Wouldn’t change anything. We put on for the city. We turned this Laker city into a Clipper city and that’s all you can ask for. We gave the fans something to be excited about. We gave the city something to be excited about. People wanted to see the Clippers play for whatever reason.. we appreciate that.

There is no doubt that the 2018-19 Los Angeles Clippers team featuring Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, and Montrezl Harrell was iconic for Clippers fans, and that the 3 were fan favorites despite not being stars.

Despite the fact that all three players ended up being moved after the Clippers acquired Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, they played a huge part in changing how the Clippers were perceived as a franchise. Patrick Beverley dedicated a lot of effort to make that happen and is heavily respected among Clippers fans as a result.
