LeBron James is once again carrying a Los Angeles Lakers team when he wasn’t even expected to it. The King has had this fate in Los Angeles since he arrived, and other than the season they won the championship in the infamous Orlando bubble, James has struggled to have a smooth season with them.

This season, the Lakers have had ups and downs, but they’ve lived more bad moments than good ones. After Anthony Davis went down with an injury, the team struggled more than before, and LeBron’s heroics haven’t been enough to lift them.

After the Lakers’ most recent loss against the Miami Heat, LeBron seemingly threatened to leave the Lakers if the situation didn’t improve, setting the alarm for everybody.

Shannon Sharpe Is Worried About LeBron James’ Legacy

Many people have expressed their concerns about the Lakers right now, and even Shannon Sharpe can’t keep defending the Purple and Gold. The former NFL star-turned-analyst has had enough of the Lakers and recently called them out for wasting LeBron’s final years.

He even went on to say that the King would be fed up if the Lakers didn’t make any improvements and record another losing season.

“I am going to average 27, 28 a game, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and guess what? I am going to be home again. Probably missed the Playoffs for the third time in 5 years since I have come to LA. That’s not what it’s about. Once you have reached a level, a certain level, it’s just almost not good enough.

It’s almost like they are playing meaningless basketball. Okay, I did this but what is it for? I played this way, that’s why I am the best. I am away from my family both mentally and physically. What am I doing this for?”

LeBron has put up good numbers during his tenure on the Lakers, but most of the time, he hasn’t been able to translate that into victories. NBA fans are already blasting the team’s front office, and if this situation continues, not only the supporters but even their biggest star could give up on them soon.
