Shaquille O’Neal just added another jaw-dropping piece to his legendary car collection, a fully customized, $3.5 million Apocalypse 717 TRX, and like everything else about Shaq, it’s as bold and outsized as the man himself.

Built to match his massive 7’1″, 325-pound frame and equally towering personality, the custom truck is not only monstrous in size and power, but also bulletproof, fitted with luxury tech, and personalized down to the last detail. This isn’t just a vehicle, it’s a rolling fortress of horsepower and swag.

Powered by a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine, the Apocalypse TRX produces a staggering 717 horsepower, making it one of the most ferocious street-legal trucks on the planet. It’s built off the already wild Ram 1500 TRX platform, but the Apocalypse crew took it to another level.

This version was designed exclusively for Shaq, complete with reinforced ballistic armor, bulletproof glass, and an all-black matte finish that screams intimidation. Inside, the vehicle features custom embroidery, nods to O’Neal’s personal brand, and a larger-than-life persona.

It’s not surprising that Shaq would go for something this extreme. After all, this is a man who once dropped $1 million in a single day after being drafted, famously buying a black-on-black Mercedes-Benz for himself, only to immediately buy another for his dad, and then one for his mom after she got jealous.

The way he tells the story is both hilarious and revealing of how quickly wealth can reshape expectations.

From there, his love of cars only escalated. He once revealed he spent $9 million in a single day when he first arrived in Los Angeles. But unlike many former stars, Shaq learned quickly. While he still indulges, he’s become a savvy investor and businessman, now worth over $400 million. Buying a $3.5 million apocalypse-grade tank? For him, that’s like grabbing a new pair of sneakers.

But Shaq isn’t just about flash. He’s also known for his unmatched generosity. Whether it’s buying a house for rapper Peter Gunz’s mother in the Bronx, paying for strangers’ furniture, or giving away PS5s and iPhones, Shaquille O’Neal operates from the heart. He’s the rare celebrity whose philanthropy isn’t a PR stunt, it’s a reflection of a man who never forgot his roots.

The Apocalypse TRX is simply the latest extension of Shaq’s identity. It’s big, loud, one-of-a-kind, and impossible to miss, just like the man himself. It’s also a reminder that while Shaq loves the finer things, he never uses them to distance himself from people.

Whether he’s behind the wheel of a bulletproof beast or buying shoes for kids in need, Shaq remains exactly who he’s always been: an unstoppable force with a soft heart.

In the end, a $3.5 million truck doesn’t define Shaq. But it sure makes one hell of a statement.
