Shaquille O’Neal Reacts To Dwight Howard’s Impression Of Him: “Not Bad… Reminds Me Of Your Game, So So.”

3 Min Read

Even during his time as an NBA superstar, Dwight Howard was known for being an easy-going jokester who knew how to make people laugh with his sense of humor and being able to lighten the mood. While it is obvious that there are times superstars need to be locked in and focused, there are also times for fun and jokes.

Dwight Howard has recently displayed that very sense of humor when he did a hilarious impression of Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal talking about Giannis Antetokounmpo. It was certainly fun to see him try and mimic the Lakers legend and his admiration of Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Shaquille O’Neal has recently responded to Dwight Howard’s impression of him via an Instagram post. In the Instagram post, O’Neal roasted Howard’s impression, saying that it was “so so”, which reminded him of Howard’s game. It is clear that Shaquille O’Neal had some fun with his comeback.

The two centers notably have had beef in the past, such as them butting heads over the “Superman” nickname. Even when congratulating Giannis Antetokounmpo on his championship win, Shaquille O’Neal threw some shade at Dwight Howard’s usage of the “Superman” nickname, telling Antetokounmpo that he was the only Superman. While that beef may have been more pronounced when both were in the league, but it seems as though it has simmered down in recent years.

At the end of the day, both Shaquille O’Neal and Dwight Howard were core parts for different Los Angeles Lakers teams. Shaquille O’Neal brought 3 championships to Los Angeles, and he is regarded as a legend there. Dwight Howard was a key bench player for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2019-20 championship run. Obviously their contributions are not equal, but both were integral to their championship teams. While the two may have beef with one another from time to time, both were important to the franchise at one point or another.
