Stephen Curry once again is the ruler of the NBA after winning the 2022 championship with his Golden State Warriors. It wasn't easy, as they faced many obstacles on their way to the Finals, but Steph and co. always came out victorious, making a statement in every series they played.
Before the start of the season, not many people thought the Dubs would be back in championship contention, but after a couple of weeks, it was clear that they were the real deal. Last season didn't end the best way for them, after a heartbreaking loss in the play-in tournament. They couldn't get past the Los Angeles Lakers in a thriller and then missed the chance to beat the Grizzlies at home.
Following those games, Curry warned the NBA about his team for this season. The Dubs knew they had something good going on, and Steph let people know that they were coming. In the post-game conference after losing to Memphis, the Chef said some words that have resonated around the league in recent hours.
"Come back, bottle this up, everybody make the right strides over the summer and ... you don't want to see us next year," Curry declared on May 21, 2021.
A year later, Steph is now a four-time NBA champion and a Finals MVP after another magical playoff run. Curry played great basketball this postseason, eliminating big rivals on the way to the Finals and taking care of business when things mattered the most.
He never lost faith in his team and the result is another championship and the trophy his resume was missing. He played great on both ends of the court, taking on Jayson Tatum on the defensive end and clamping him. It was a terrific series for the Chef, who isn't stopping now and will be ready to add more silverware to his career.
