This summer, we saw the Cleveland Cavaliers make a move for star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell. There is no doubt that he will improve the team’s offense, and give the Cavaliers another go-to scorer besides Darius Garland.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team that is clearly gearing up to make a deep playoff run, and it seems as though they are not done yet. A recent report suggested that they could potentially move forward Cedi Osman for proven 3 and D wing Jae Crowder, with Phoenix Suns insider John Gambadoro revealing that Osman has been rumored as a “trade candidate” for Jae Crowder.

Just an FYI in two games against the Suns last season Cedi Osman shot 16-30 from the field, 11-19 from three-point range and scored 43 points. His name has been rumored as a trade candidate for Jae Crowder.

Just an FYI in two games against the Suns last season Cedi Osman shot 16-30 from the field, 11-19 from three-point range and scored 43 points. His name has been rumored as a trade candidate for Jae Crowder.

Obviously, this could potentially be a good deal for the Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Suns would get a solid forward who is just entering his prime, while the Cavaliers would get another veteran to support their young roster. The Phoenix Suns notably made Jae Crowder available for trades earlier this offseason, and it is clear that they are ready to move on from the forward.

The Cleveland Cavaliers Could Be A Dark Horse Contender

The Cleveland Cavaliers definitely have a lot of talent on their roster, and there’s no doubt that they have the potential to get far in the Eastern Conference in the playoffs, while also having a good regular season. Cavaliers legend Brad Daugherty suggested that the team would be able to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals.

“This is a significant piece for a basketball team that I thought would win 50 games this year anyway. Donovan can not only score in volume, he works on the defensive end. You add that to what they have with Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, and on and on and on. Now you have something and go into that luxury tax situation and go deep into it. I would be shocked if this team didn’t make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. I think there’s enough depth there with the guys that have been working their butts off.”

Hopefully, we will see the Cleveland Cavaliers find success next year. Though it is hard to see them win a championship, it is quite possible that they can win a series or two, and make the Finals if they get a little lucky.

Adding Jae Crowder would certainly help the team get better on both ends of the floor, and we’ll see if they are able to swing a trade for the forward at some point in the future.
