NBA Rumors: JJ Redick Could Be A Target For The Miami Heat If He Gets A Buyout

2 Min Read

JJ Redick has been one of the best shooters in the league over the course of his career. Redick shoots 41.5% from beyond the arc for his career, and his ability to space the floor is well-known throughout the league. JJ Redick brings great off-ball movement and shooting to a team, and is a valuable player, especially to contenders.

Recently JJ Redick has been linked to a contender if he gets bought out: that contender is the Miami Heat. The Miami Heat have two stars who aren’t the best shooters: Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler are both great, but they don’t space the floor particularly well. Adding Redick to the Heat could potentially open up the floor more for both of them to have more room to operate near the paint.

JJ Redick would definitely be a good fit on the Miami Heat squad. He has played with Jimmy Butler during his time in Philadelphia, so there is a prior connection there as well. The Miami Heat are also not afraid of trading for experienced veterans, so long as they can still contribute, like Andre Iguodala.

While JJ Redick would have many suitors if he were to get bought out, the Miami Heat could offer him the chance at a championship. They were a Finals team last season, and perhaps they could repeat history once again this season. The Miami Heat would be a great place for a 3PT specialist like JJ Redick, and perhaps the move could happen in the future.
