NBA Rumors: Toronto Raptors Have Made Pascal Siakam Available For Trade

Pascal Siakam was a player who was crucial to the Toronto Raptors winning the first championship in franchise history during the 2018-19 season. Siakam showed his value as a two-way player behind Kawhi Leonard and was the secondary scoring option during the run. He was subsequently selected to an All-Star game during the 2019-20 season.

However, the 2020-21 season wasn’t the best for Pascal Siakam and he struggled with inconsistency. The Toronto Raptors missed the playoffs, and it seems as though the franchise could be headed for a rebuild, and the No. 4 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft could potentially help with that if they choose to go that route. It seems as though a Pascal Siakam trade could be in the cards this offseason. Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report has recently reported that Pascal Siakam is deemed as “available for trade” by various sources around the league.

Toronto, for example, could offer a package centered on the No. 4 selection and Pascal Siakam, who’s considered available for trade by sources around the league. The Raptors have been categorized as one of the most active teams in predraft trade chatter, exploring all avenues from swapping their pick in a deal for an All-Star such as Beal or Damian Lillard to trading back and recouping more draft capital to embrace a post-Kyle Lowry rebuild.

The report suggests that the Toronto Raptors are exploring every option on the table, whether it is trading for a star or committing to a full teardown. If the Raptors are shopping Siakam, then there are certainly many options for a trade. A lot of contenders could use a two-way player that can score and defend, and his ability to facilitate as a big man is underrated. It remains to be seen whether Pascal Siakam will end up getting traded, but it looks as though it may be a possibility.
