Anthony Davis was seen trash-talking and clapping back at Sacramento Kings fans during the Dallas Mavericks‘ blowout performance.

“I know y’all going. I know y’all going. Y’all might want to beat that traffic though,” said the Mavs big man in response to the fans leaving the Golden 1 Center.

Davis had plenty of time to clap back at the fans as he checked out of the game with two minutes left in the fourth quarter.

The Mavs’ big man had already driven the dagger through Sacramento’s heart before making his exit. Having enjoyed a comfortable lead for the majority of the game, Dallas did not need to exhaust their star player anymore.

Anthony Davis and the Mavericks gave the Kings an absolute beatdown in their Play-In matchup on Wednesday. In a must-win situation, Davis showed out for his team to lead them to a dominant 120-106 win.

Davis had quite the performance, dropping 27 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks for the night. Although his shooting figures were far from impressive, the 10-time All-Star was relentless in attacking the Kings’ defense. He also helped the Mavs pull away with his unexpected three-point shooting, notching 3-6 shots from behind the three-point line.

The big man also received tremendous support from the rest of the Mavericks rotation. Dallas played some tremendous basketball on both ends of the floor as players such as Klay Thompson, Daniel Gafford, and PJ Washington played a crucial role in closing things out in Sacramento.

The Mavericks star stood out in this must-win fixture. Davis has been criticized for his inconsistencies and disrespected throughout his career. With today’s performance, he proved a lot of people wrong by stepping up to the plate for his team.

Davis’ form for the Mavericks since making his return from injury has been nothing short of impressive. After helping his team clinch a Play-In spot, in light of very unfavorable circumstances for the franchise, he has been nothing short of a hero for Dallas.

With this crucial win against the Kings, Davis and the Mavericks will see their postseason aspirations live for another day.

However, the Mavs are not in a position to be taking things easy. Coming off a loss against the Golden State Warriors, the Memphis Grizzlies will also be vying for the eighth spot in the West.

Injury concerns will plague both sides. But, with a playoff berth on the line, both teams will be expected to duke it out on Friday at the FedEx Forum at 9:30 pm ET.
