As the reigning NBA MVP, Nikola Jokic is one of the most elite players in all of basketball. A playmaker, rebounder, and unstoppable scorer, there isn’t much the guy can’t do on the court.

Still, he’s no Steph Curry and even Jokic can’t help but watch in awe at what he does every day.

In an interview, the Serbian big man explains why Steph is his pick for the most impressive player in the league.

Q: “Who, in your opinion, is the most impressive player in the league. If you were to pay to watch someone, who would you choose?”

Jokic: “For sure it’s Steph Curry. I say that to pretty much everyone, if you don’t like watching him play, you probably don’t like watching basketball as a sport altogether. He plays in such a lucid way I sometimes catch myself thinking: “Look at what this guy is doing”, but my god his shots just keep falling. He pulls up from such distances I feel like my shots wouldn’t even reach from that far away. Also Durant, I feel like he’s the best offensive player in the league currently, you can’t really guard him. There are no players in the league who can guard him.”

Curry, 33, isn’t the biggest or most athletic player in the league, but what he brings to the table in terms of shooting changes the game drastically for the Warriors.

As the best marksman in basketball history, his shooting opens up myriads of opportunities for his teammates and often leaves defenses speechless.

As a 7x All-Star, 7x All-NBA player, 2x MVP, and 3x Champion, he has all the accolades one could imagine.

Going forward, it’s hard to tell what comes next for Curry and how far he can lead the Warriors. But, for now, Jokic and the rest of us will continue to enjoy watching him do his thing.
