Nikola Jokic’s wife, Natalija, may have been a Miami Heat fan once upon a time. Recently, a picture of her sporting a black Heat jersey went viral on social media, sparking debate about whether she was a Heat-turned-Nuggets fan.

The focus on the image purely stems from the fact that Jokic and the Nuggets are facing a resilient Miami in their maiden NBA Finals that’s tied 1-1 after the Nuggets’ Game 2 loss.

It goes without saying that Natalija will pretty much be a Nuggets supporter, given her husband is the team’s superstar and the driving force behind their scintillating run, but in 2013, two years before Jokic was even drafted in the NBA, chances are she may have been a Heat fan, given the team had the likes of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh at the time.

And we wonder if there is still some fun banter between Mr. and Mrs. Jokic about the Heat winning over the Nuggets.

Can The Nuggets Vault Over The Heat?

Tactical adjustments and perhaps even acclimatizing to Denver’s altitude played a part in the Heat’s Game 2 win, leaving both teams needing three wins each to win the NBA Finals. This is pretty much a first-to-the-finish situation that both teams will be looking for.

The Nuggets were beaten despite Jokic’s 41-point onslaught, and the Heat have been quite vocal about what they intend to do for the rest of the series. After their bounce-back win, NBA analyst Skip Bayless believed Miami would seal the deal in Game 6.

“Well, shut my mouth,” he tweeted. “The Heat did it again. When nobody gave ’em a shot, as 9-point ‘dogs vs a Denver that had not lost a playoff home game, they hung in and then outshot the Nuggets in the 4th quarter. IT’S 1-1 GOING BACK TO MIAMI.”

Now, the Nuggets will head to Miami, where they will look to walk back with a couple of wins and put pressure on Jimmy Butler & Co. Only time will tell.
