The Ja Morant recent scandal has drawn many reactions from a lot of people in the NBA community, as the Memphis Grizzlies player keeps hurting himself with his actions. 

Amid all the criticism for his social media antics, showing off a gun on Instagram Live, Paul Pierce shockingly showed his support to Morant.

“I don’t care what y’all say about Ja. I carried a gun after I was stabbed. Y’all don’t know what he’s going thru. Everyone got something to say until you really know what’s really going on in someone’s life. When you’re black and rich you’re a target. Period,” the former player-turned-analyst commented on Twitter. 

Ja has been involved in several controversies this season, and many fans called him out for trying to mess with his career simply for pretending to be something or somebody he’s not. 

He has been suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies for at least two games, and many fans have called him out for his behavior. Things can get worse for him not only with his team but the NBA and even the US legal system

Paul Pierce used to carry a gun with him after he was stabbed many years ago. He revealed that the incident made a big effect on him. Besides using basketball as a way out, Pierce revealed that he carried a gun everywhere. 

He vowed to never miss the All-Star Game during that season and fulfilled his promise for many seasons. Things went really dark for Pierce during that time, but that was a different situation than Ja’s. 

The Memphis Grizzlies player has tried hard to look tough and act like he’s more than just a baller, which has raised many eyebrows around the league. Former players like Jalen RoseMatt Barnes, Stephen Jackson, and Gilbert Arenas have discussed this situation all giving advice to Ja, but ultimately, the decision to get better belongs to him.
