The Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies began their playoff series yesterday, as the Warriors took a 1-0 lead against the Grizzlies after a close Game 1. The Grizzlies will be hoping to bounce back in Game 2, and cause problems for the Warriors as the series goes on. Aside from seeing Ja Morant and Stephen Curry go head to head, a clash that many fans have been waiting for is the one between their fathers.

Dell Curry, a former NBA star and father of Stephen Curry, has often been spotted at his son’s games to support him. And over the last few seasons, we have seen Tee Morant, the father of Ja Morant, be seated courtside as he watches his son become one of the brightest young stars in the NBA. The two have become staples of their son’s games, and fans have taken notice.

But it isn’t just fans who have noticed the two fathers steal the show from time to time. Seth Curry, Stephen Curry’s brother, recently shared a picture of his father Dell Curry before the game and joked that one of the most anticipated battles of the Warriors-Grizzlies series is the one between Dell Curry and Tee Morant, even providing a humorous write-up to build hype for their eventual encounter.

Tough matchup for both.. While Curry has been there before won’t be phased by anything, Morant comes with an energy and passion rarely seen

Tee Morant has become a bit of a sensation sitting courtside. Many fans noted recently that Morant looks a lot like R&B sensation Usher, and the two even sat together during a Grizzlies game. As for Dell Curry, his popularity has grown way more since his playing days, as he is now recognized as the father of two of the best shooters in the NBA, and the greatest shooter of all time.

While Dell and Tee may garner some attention, most fans will still be intrigued to see how the series between the Grizzlies and the Warriors plays out. The two sides are considered pretty evenly matched, with Stephen Curry being the wildcard as he is clearly the best player on the court, despite the monumental rise of Ja Morant this last year.
