Sir Charles In Charge

During Game 4 of the Los Angeles Lakers’ first-round matchup against the Phoenix Suns, Anthony Davis notably suffered an injury that sidelined him in the middle of the game. Anthony Davis did not return, and there were some concerns with Anthony Davis being available for Game 5.

Shams Charania has reported that Anthony Davis will be day-to-day with a groin strain. Charania’s report mentions that Anthony Davis will have a chance of playing in Game 5 and that he avoided more serious injuries.

Good news for AD and the Lakers: Davis avoided a more serious injury. He has a chance to play in Game 5 in Phoenix, but status is very much in question. https://t.co/CGwAHZDDL1

The Lakers will hope that Anthony Davis will be able to return. Davis has been an integral part of this squad, and his presence on both ends will be missed if he is unable to play. However, it is important for Anthony Davis to be somewhat healthy, as nobody wants to see a more serious injury happen to him as a result of the groin strain. ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski said a source described Anthony Davis’ status as unclear.

One source described Davis’ availability for Game 5 on Tuesday as “unclear.” https://t.co/cd1M0nFvwM

It is hard for players to get fully healthy during the playoffs if they have injuries that limit them. The Lakers are a worse team without Anthony Davis, and him missing time would be a major blow to the team.
