Shaquille O’Neal Blasts Rudy Gobert After Timberwolves Trade: “If He’s So Good, Why They Ain’t Keep His A**?”

2 Min Read

Rudy Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves a couple of weeks ago in a big move that granted the Utah Jazz a big return. The Frenchman is now joining forces with Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns in Minny, trying to create something good with the T-Wolves.

While many people saw this trade with good eyes, others are still doubtful that Minnesota can get past the first or second round of the playoffs with Gobert and Towns. Recently, one of Rudy’s biggest critics spoke about this move, blasting the big man and telling people that he’s not that guy.

Shaquille O’Neal has blasted Gobert on many occasions, and this one wasn’t the exception. Talking about the Gobert trade, the former NBA MVP questioned the Frenchman’s quality, saying that if he weren’t so good as people say, the Jazz wouldn’t have traded him.

“If he’s so good, why they ain’t keep his a**?” Shaq stated.

The Big Diesel went on to say that the people in Utah are mad at Gobert for not delivering and letting his team down.

“Y’all owe me an apology … When I jump on him for making 250 and averaging 12, I’m hating right. Well guess what, the whole state of Utah is hating him too so they get rid of his ass.”

O’Neal has earned a reputation of being a hater of the Utah Jazz star duo of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, and now that the former is gone, he’s taking his chance to blast him. The Big Diesel never was a big fan of Rudy, and this is the best opportunity for him to trash him.

The Jazz are now reportedly listening to trade offers for Mitchell, which can confirm that he was right about this tandem.
