Shaquille O’Neal Picks Four Teammates To Make Unbeatable Super Team: LeBron James, Steph Curry, Zion Williamson, And Klay Thompson

2 Min Read

Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal has played around with hypothetical “super lineups” before, and he’s built from pretty dominant clubs.

In an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, the superstar big man assembled his latest super five — this time, including himself and four teammates. With a few seconds of thought, he gave the following names:

“Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, phew… Zion Williamson, and LeBron, yes.”

Those four guys, along with a prime Shaq, would create a lineup that’s tough for any team to beat. It’s a seemingly perfect balance of outside shooting, interior strength, and size. In the interview, O’Neal broke it down for all the curious fans:

“Okay, you’re gonna have to double me, and Steph and Klay would be wide open, right. LeBron’s gonna get that tank, take it off the glass, and go full speed. He’s gonna have three guys that’s gonna be in front of him. I’ll trail, I don’t want to be in nobody’s way. So he’s going to have two guys on the wing, Steph and Klay. Then you have another guy that’s going to tear the rim off, Zion Williamson. That’s my five right there and nobody’s beating us.”

With Klay and Steph being the threat from outside, it’d give O’Neal and Zion plenty of room to work with on the inside. They could dominate the rim and eat up rebounds for the team.

LeBron could take a point guard role and officiate the offense as a playmaker and slasher. Really, it’s a genius build, and one of the best we’ve ever seen.

Unfortunately, it’s also one that’s never going to happen anywhere but our dreams.
