Kevin Durant is one of the top superstars in the NBA, and his 29 points were instrumental in the USA winning yet another Gold medal. There is no question that Durant’s shot creation for Team USA was crucial at many points during the Olympics, and it became clear that not even the increased physicality of the FIBA game was going to stop him from leading his team to the top spot in this tournament. France put up a solid fight, but there was no one who was going to stop Kevin Durant.

There is no doubt that fans of Team USA are celebrating their team’s victory, and praising Kevin Durant for his performance in the recent victory. Skip Bayless went beyond just basic praise: he stated that Kevin Durant is the greatest Olympic basketball player to have very played for Team USA, while also taking a jab at LeBron James.

That clinches it. Kevin Durant is our greatest Olympic basketball player ever. Our greatest scorer and greatest leader. Three Olympic golds and a FIBA World Championship MVP. You watching, LeBron?

There is no question that Kevin Durant’s leadership on the team was crucial, and his ability to act as a fail-safe for team USA’s offense was critical to the team’s success. Durant’s resume is certainly impressive, and he has shown that he can step up in the biggest moments to lead his team to victory.

It is obvious that Kevin Durant is at the peak of his powers, and even though he was eliminated in the second round during the NBA playoffs, he has clearly been able to bounce back these Olympics and bring another gold back to the USA. Even Giannis Antetokounmpo, the reigning Finals MVP claimed that Kevin Durant is the best player in the world. While the pressure will be on the Brooklyn Nets to win next season, they will certainly enter the season as one of the favorites. Kevin Durant is a player who has shown that he can will a team to victory, and it is quite likely that there will be more winning in his future.
