Skip Bayless Says The Lakers Won’t Get Past The Clippers: “Hey, Bron: A Thunderstorm Is Coming.”

The Los Angeles Lakers won a huge matchup against the Brooklyn Nets with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the floor. The Lakers missed LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Kyle Kuzma but that didn’t mean a big problem for them. They beat a big rival who were clear favorites to win the game but the Lakers were inspired.

It was a great game for them but not everybody was impressed with their performance. Controversial analyst Skip Bayless had a couple of things to say during and after the game, trying to diminish the Lakers’ win and saying that the Clippers will be a bigger threat than the Nets were.

He took a shot at the Nets for not giving their maximum effort to win the game while making it clear that Rajon Rondo and his Clippers are ready to face any challenge the Lakers present.

The Nets obviously didn't take the Lakers seriously tonight. But when both teams are at full strength, the Nets are obviously better. Too much firepower. Won't matter any way. The Lakers won't get past Rondo's Clippers.

Bayless doubled down on those comments after the game was over, mocking LeBron James’ words predicting a thunderstorm. He said that the Clips and all their assets will ruin the Lakers’ plans to celebrate this season again.

Hey, Bron: A thunderstorm is coming. Rondo/Kawhi/PlayoffP/TheBetterMorrisTwin/PatBev/IbakaZu/Reggie/Nickie/Boogie/TMann/Luke/TLue. Gonna reign on your parade, Jam your Space.

Last season, the Clippers were seen as favorites to beat the Lakers in the playoffs but we never got to see that since the Clippers failed to beat the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the postseason. They have another chance this season and the big difference is, that they have Rajon Rondo now, who is a very good performer in the playoffs.

That could be the X-factor for the Clippers if they aspire to beat the Utah Jazz, Denver Nuggets, and especially the Lakers. They have something they didn’t have last year but until they face the top teams in the West, nobody will know what the Clips can actually do.
