Warriors superstar Steph Curry has been lighting up the NBA world for years now. Yet, even after 6 All-Star appearances and 2 MVPs, he still finding new ways to impress.

After an insane 57-point performance (that included 11 3-pointers) on Saturday, the basketball community found themselves in awe over Curry once again, with Warriors swingman Kent Bazemore going so far as to say that Curry is the NBA’s best player right now.

“Best player in basketball right now,” Bazemore said. “It’s unreal.”

Roster changes and player injuries have severely compromised the Warriors’ ability to compete these past two years. This season, it seems that Steph will have to put the team on his back if he wants any hope of making the playoffs.

So far, he has answered the call. With two 50-plus point performances this season alone, Curry is playing at an MVP level, with averages of 29.4 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game on 48.1% shooting.

He has kept the Warriors within striking distance, leading them to a 12-11 record.

As for whether he’s the best player it the league right now, fans aren’t so sure.
