Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are both viewed as the greatest shooting backcourt of all time, and there’s a reason their nickname is “The Splash Brothers”. The duo has won multiple Finals together, and there’s no question that they could end up winning yet another Finals series this year.

Even though Klay Thompson has missed multiple years with injuries, he is still as lethal of a shooter as ever. Stephen Curry is obviously someone who knows just how good of a shooter Klay Thompson still is. Recently a photo went viral where Stephen Curry started running back on defense before Klay Thompson even attempted a 3PT shot because he knew it was going in.

The trust between the Golden State Warriors as a whole, but particularly between Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, is special. There’s no doubt that they both know what the other can do, and Stephen Curry once even claimed that he wouldn’t be the shooter that he is if he didn’t get to watch Klay Thompson every single day:

“I’m not the shooter I am if I don’t get to see Klay every single day, do what he does.”

The Golden State Warriors have a legitimate chance to win the NBA Finals, and thus win their fourth championship during Stephen Curry’s tenure. This could also be a chance for Stephen Curry to win his first Finals MVP, and that is the only thing that his resume is missing.

The game is still close right now, and there’s no doubt that the Boston Celtics have the tools to win this series as well. Draymond Green has even recently admitted that he thinks the Celtics are a “championship-caliber team“. There’s no doubt that this series will be a long one, and it has the potential to go to the full 7 games.
