Steve Kerr Credits Stephen Curry As The Main Reason For The Warriors Dynasty: “This Is All Built On Him… The Lakers Were Built On Magic Johnson. The Celtics Were Built On Larry Bird, Bulls On Michael Jordan.”

The Golden State Warriors have firmly established themselves as the dominant team of the last decade, winning 4 championships in 8 seasons. They have changed the way basketball is played in the modern NBA, with their movement-based offense and emphasis on three-point shooting led by two of the greatest shooters ever in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Curry has indisputably become the greatest shooter of all time after crossing Ray Allen on the all-time three-point shooting list. He also finally added a Finals MVP to his list of incredible achievements this season, leading the Warriors to their 4th championship in their current era. And this has earned him the highest praise from his coach Steve Kerr, who spoke about Curry in the same breath as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird (via Sportskeeda).

“This has all been built on him, like most dynasties … The Lakers were built on Magic Johnson. The Celtics were built on Larry Bird, Bulls on Michael Jordan.

“There’s usually one transcendent star that is the reason for these, whatever you wanna call them, dynasties or runs or whatever. And that’s what I shared with him, that he’s basically the reason that this has all happened.”

There will be some that dispute this take, considering that Curry did have Kevin Durant with him for two of those championships, but it is impossible to deny his greatness at this point. The fact that he has also done it all with the team that drafted him is a testament to what he has built during his career.

And the best part about it for fans of Steph is that his career is far from over. The Warriors look dangerous again and will be bringing back their key pieces for another run, allowing Curry to build on his already amazing accomplishments. The future is exciting and only time will tell where Curry will end up on the all-time list.
