Curry will be playing for the record at Madison Square Garden, what many believe is the Mecca of basketball. But Steve Kerr almost threw a wrench in those plans, just to get people a little scared. During his post-game interview, Steve Kerr said that he would be resting Steph Curry against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
He then quickly took it back, telling the press that he ‘couldn’t resist’ making the joke, before confirming that Curry will be playing against the Knicks.

Curry’s path to breaking the record has been incredible. In fact, he is close to breaking Ray Allen’s three-point record despite playing a little over half the amount of games that Allen did on his road to set that record during his career. By the time Curry ends his career, that record might become insurmountable to any player trying to reach it.
Over the last few games, Steph has had ample opportunities to break the record. But a poor run of shooting form has kept him from doing that. Warriors coach Steve Kerr believes that Curry is putting a lot of pressure on himself to break the record, and that is affecting his shooting form and accuracy.
Perhaps this is a great fortune for Curry and the NBA as a whole. Curry is perfectly placed to break Ray Allen’s three-point record in Madison Square Garden, the world’s most famous arena.
