Ja Morant seemed mighty pleased to rejoin the Memphis Grizzlies. His evening went better after the side pipped the Dallas Mavericks 112-108, and he recited NBA YoungBoy lyrics to express his excitement after the win.

The guard crashed Santi Aldama’s post-game interview by singing a song that even the former sang with a smile. Aldama played his part in the win by coming off the bench to score 22 points, 14 points, and 2 assists. You can view the clip below:

Also playing his role was Jaren Jackson Jr. with 28 points, 4 rebounds, and an assist. For the Mavericks, Kyrie Irving led the way with 28 points and 4 boards, while Christian Wood and Jaden Hardy had 20 points each. But it wasn’t enough to fend off Memphis.

On his part, Morant was seen on the bench wearing a white tee and cheering for his team. He did receive a standing ovation from the crowd when he walked in and even had a heartwarming moment with Irving at the end of the game.

Ja Morant Is Expected To Suit Up Against The Houston Rockets On Wednesday

The ‘Return of the Ja’ isn’t far. The point guard is expected to return to basketball action as early as this Wednesday when the Grizzlies square off against the Houston Rockets.

Morant’s return was reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania. “They’re gonna ramp him up. I’m told he could return to the lineup as soon as Wednesday,” he said on FanDuel TV.

It has been a tumultuous few weeks for the Memphis superstar with a slew of controversies that saw him suspended for eight games and he was docked his pay during that time.

Reports of his rehabilitation in Florida did the rounds as well, and it appears that the 23-year-old is all set to return as the Grizzles gear up for their final regular season stretch. At the time of writing, they are well-placed in the West with a 44-27 record and the guard’s arrival comes at a perfect time as they stake a claim for the title.
