In a recent interview with Submission Radio, NBA legend and league analyst Paul Pierce made a bold prediction regarding the 2020 NBA Championship.

“I’m going to go with the Milwaukee Bucks,” Pierce said, per NESN. “Greek Freak (Antetokounmpo), I believe he’s the best player in the NBA, I think he’ll be MVP, and I think he’s going to carry Milwaukee to the championship.”

Last season, the Bucks boasted the best record in the NBA as Giannis Antetokounmpo led them through the season. Giannis won MVP that year, so it’s not out of the woods for him to win it again in 2020.

But it should be noted that Pierce previously predicted the Bucks to beat the Toronto Raptors in last season’s Eastern Conference Finals, only to end up getting proven wrong in the end.

Considering the Raptors lost Kawhi Leonard this summer, it’s unlikely the Bucks will lose to them again this go-round. In fact, they are probably the team to beat in the East. To win the Championship, however, they’ll have to get through either the Lakers, Clippers, or Warriors. Obviously, that will prove to be a daunting task.

Paul Pierce is ready to beleive in them, regardless. We will see how that works out for him.
