The NBA trade deadline gets closer every day and plenty of teams around the association are looking for the additions they can make to improve their level. Two of these teams are the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers, who are getting ready to land a player to improve their game.

The Lakers are reportedly interested in Minnesota Timberwolves’ small forward Robert Covington. Covington is followed by several other teams, including the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, according to Ben Cohen of The Wall Street Journal.

He’s averaging 12.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists this season in 42 games while shooting 43.4 percent from the field, 34.8 percent from beyond the arc and 79.8 percent from the free-throw line. The Lakers could use Robert for his playmaking and perimeter virtues.

Philly, though, apparently has a plan B, as Bogdan Bogdanovic is another potential acquisition for the Sixers, according to Jon Johnson. Bogdanovic is currently playing his third season in the league, doing just fine for the Sacramento Kings.

Per NBA source, Sixers are currently focusing on Bogdan Bogdanovic, & Robert Covington as potential deadline acquisitions.
Source says Sixers have been firm on who/what is, and isn’t not available in return.

Bogdanovic has racked up averages of 14.3 points on 42.4 percent shooting from the field (37.6 percent from beyond the arc), 3.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and a steal in 28.1 minutes per outing.

If they’re looking for somebody who can’t bring help from the bench, then the Serbian player is a great option for them.
