Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Says LeBron James Would Be The Perfect Player For The 80s Lakers

2 Min Read

It looks like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is a big fan of the 2019/20 Los Angeles Lakers, as he not only praised Anthony Davis and compared the Brow to himself, but he did the same with the other star of the team, LeBron James, stating he would be a great addition to one of the best and most entertained teams in the history of the league.

As Kareem was answering fans’ questions on Twitter on Wednesday night there was one that caught a lot of attention. Somebody asked him which player he would transport back to his playing days to team up in any of his teams.

“great question! Without a doubt Lebron, and The Lakers would be the right team,” Abdul-Jabbar replied.

Back in the 80s, the Lakers were the biggest force in the league, having an exciting style of play that earned them the nickname ‘Showtime’. They won 5 NBA championships in that decade, claiming their throne as the Kings of the NBA.

Imagine what would have happened if LeBron James joined the likes of Magic Johnson, Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Cooper and James Worthy at The Forum. With his athleticism, his power and speed, LeBron would have been a complete show during that era.

Fortunately, we get to see the King during these days, as he’s trying to take the Lakers to win their 17th title this season.
