Actor and comedian Michael Rapaport has expressed his opinion about the NBA GOAT debate. Rapaport, an assiduous NBA fan, is convinced that nobody could surpass Michael Jordan as the greatest player of all time, not even LeBron James. James just won his fourth NBA championship last Sunday, prompting his fans to claim this is enough to be called the GOAT, despite having lost six times in the NBA Finals.
Well, Rapaport has a strong position and he’s firm in his beliefs. The actor joined Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless on FS1’s Undisputed to discuss the Lakers, the Clippers and more NBA-related topics. When the time to talk about the GOAT came, Rapaport praised LeBron for his performances in the Finals but made it clear that he’s not the GOAT.
“LeBron was incredible once again. He’s not the greatest player of all time, he might not be better than Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson. Michael Jordan is the only NBA GOAT, but I would say this; LeBron James absolutely has the best NBA career of all time.”
LeBron has been the clear dominator of the NBA this past decade, his career achievements are incredible and it would be hard to see someone matching them, let alone surpassing them. The King has been exactly that, a King, and nobody can take that away from him. Regardless, there are still people that won’t call him the GOAT because Michael Jordan was so glorious and did so incredible things that it’ll be hard for somebody to convinced the entire NBA community that they’re the undisputed GOAT.
