Stephon Marbury On Kyrie Irving: “He’s Done Things On The Court We’ve Never Seen Before.”

2 Min Read

Nets star Kyrie Irving has said a lot of controversial things over the course of his NBA career. But when it comes to what he’s able to do on the basketball court, there is no arguing his skill.

In a recent chat with Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, former All-Star guard Stephon Marbury was just the latest to dish out some praise to Uncle Drew.

“He’s done things on the court we’ve never seen before. He’s a champion and if he never wins another championship he did more than a lot of people in his short time while living.

There’s always someone pushing a narrative to the public about Black men who have a voice respect and the ability to make millions or billions of dollars. It seems the threat will always be real no matter the time period in life,” Marbury said, via Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson.

Irving, a 6x All-Star, is looking to find success with the Nets following a disappointing tenure in Boston. With Kevin Durant, DeAndre Jordan, and Spencer Dinwiddie, the team looks to be in a great position to make a long run next season.

The 28-year-old averaged 27.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 5.2 rebounds on 47.8% shooting in 2019-20.
