Jeremy Lin Shares Bold Statement As He Tries To Make Another NBA Comeback

After taking the NBA by surprise in the 2011-12 season, Jeremy Lin has had his fair shares of ups and downs in the league. He’s been a steady backup and even though he never reached that superstar level, he still had a great run.

Even so, he refuses to give up on his dream of retiring in the NBA, as he’s bid to make yet another comeback to the league after dominating in the Chinese league.

That’s why he gave a blunt response on whether he believes that he still belongs in the NBA, and dared to say that we haven’t seen the best of him yet:

“I genuinely believe the best is yet to come. I’ve had so many of my amazing opportunities were taken away through extenuating circumstances. But right now I still have more opportunities,” Jeremy Lin said, as quoted by Jonathan White of the South China Morning Post.

Lin added that he intends to work his heart off to prove that he’s still worthy of a roster spot in the NBA after failing to get a contract for the 2019-20 season:

“I still have tomorrow and I still have this next season and my goal is to prepare and come out and just dominate and you know I’m coming in with this ‘nothing will stop me’ mentality,” he concluded.

To be fair, Lin is far better than some of the backup point guards we see in the league right now. Yes, his upside is limited, but he’s used to playing on the big stage and is a capable playmaker and scorer who could give a nice boost for a contending team.

Thus far, he’s posted career averages of 11.6 points and 4.3 assists per game, and while a comeback at this age is unlikely, hopefully, he’ll get another shot to prove his worth.
