LeBron James Says He’s Won The Two Hardest Championships In NBA History: 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers And 2020 Los Angeles Lakers

LeBron James has made it clear that he won the two hardest championships in NBA history. The King was part of two complicated championship runs with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, two titles that he considers the ‘hardest’ in NBA history.

During a recent interview with Road Trippin’, Bron talked about what it means for him each of these titles, what went down for him and how satisfied he was after he became a champion with the Cavaliers and Lakers. James remembered the comeback in 2016 and how hard was for him to not lose his cool in the Orlando bubble with all the changes his routine suffered at the Walt Disney Resort.

“I’ve been a part of two teams that’s won the two hardest championships in NBA league history – the 2016 Cavs coming back from 3-1 versus a 73-9 team…and then what we went through in the bubble. If you’re not in the bubble, you don’t quite understand it. … This is literally out of your whole comfort zone. I didn’t see my family for eight and a half weeks. … It just felt like a horror movie in the bubble and I just believe that I’ve been a part of two of the hardest championships in league history.”

In 2016, Cleveland returned from a 3-1 deficit against a 73-win team in the Warriors. When everybody thought they were done, LeBron, Kyrie Irving and co. stepped up and demonstrated they were ready to become champions. Even though things didn’t end well for LeBron and Kyrie in Cleveland, with the latter saying some questionable things about his former teammates, that was a great championship run.

The Cavs had one of the hardest path to the title but they never ran away. When the job was harder, they showed their character and did something that was unthinkable at the moment.

The bubble was something extraordinary. The league did a good job keeping everybody safe but that wasn’t the only concern for players. Not everybody was comfortable staying in the bubble and that showed. The Lakers, though, adapted to that environment and focused on their job until they reached their goal.

Those are two remarkable championships but not everybody would agree with LeBron’s claims.
