Bismack Biyombo Was Mad At LaMelo Ball At The End Of Hornets vs. Pelicans Game

Bismack Biyombo and LaMelo Ball starred in a very odd moment at the end of the Charlotte Hornets-New Orleans Pelicans game on Friday night. It was a highly-anticipated game as LaMelo would face his older brother, Lonzo, and the Pelicans in a duel between two promising young teams.

Melo outplayed his brother, scoring 12 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing 9 assists in 26 minutes, demonstrating that he’s adapting to the NBA just fine. However, that wasn’t the biggest moment of the night. When the game was over, Melo was celebrating with teammates but things were different with Biyombo. As he tried to touch Bismack’s chest, the big man reacted a lot different than Melo expected, shoving the young player.

It was a very odd sequence and NBA fans started debating what was going on there. They have been very close since Ball was drafted and seeing Biyombo’s attitude was really weird. NBA Reddit discussed this issued, with most people explaining that LaMelo opted to pass the ball to get an assist and triple-double instead of a dagger and that didn’t sit well with Bismack. His reaction wasn’t too appreciated, either.

It’s unclear what really went down at that moment and why Biyombo reacted the way he did. In the end, the Hornets got a 118-110 win over the Pelicans to earn their fourth win of the season.
