Anthony Davis On Kobe Bryant: “I Think It’s Hard For People Not To Love Kobe And Not See The Inspiration That He Tried To Give To The World.”

1 Min Read

Anthony Davis became the latest superstar to speak on Kobe Bean Bryant, whose death can be traced back to this month nearly one-year ago.

In a chat with the media, here’s what the Lakers big man had to say about the 5x Champion and the legacy he left behind:

“The way he was on the floor — a fierce competitor — the way he was off the floor — such a loving guy — I think it’s hard for people not to love Kobe and not see the inspiration that he tried to give to the world.”

Davis and Kobe were always pretty close, going all the way back to the 2012 Olympics, when the two became teammates for a summer. AD’s willingness to ask questions and learn from one of the best helped nurture a relationship that lasted all the way up until Kobe’s death in early 2020.

And while he is no longer on the earth today, Davis’ words about him still ring true, even today.
