Luka Doncic Is Frustrated With The Mavericks: “We Need To Change. There’s A Lot Of Things Wrong Right Now.”

2 Min Read

Amid a 3-game losing streak and an 8-10 record in the West, the Dallas Mavericks have been among the NBA’s most disappointing teams this season.

Speaking out, young star Luka Doncic expressed major disappointment with how things are playing out for his team this year.

“I don’t know what to say. We need to change. There’s a lot of things wrong right now. We need to perform way better than this.”

Doncic and the Mavs are just months away from an inspiring effort in the playoffs, in which they took a deep and talented Clippers team to 6 games in the first round.

After that performance, expectations have been high for the team and for Luka as well, who many believed would be an MVP candidate for this campaign.

Unfortunately, injuries and weaknesses on defense have contributed to a poor start. Over the last three games, the Mavericks have allowed their opponents to score over 60 points in the first half.

After losing six out of their last eight games, the concern is starting to creep in for this squad, and even Doncic is letting his frustration manifest to the media. There is still time for them to turn things around and salvage the season, but it won’t be easy to do, especially with how deep the Western Conference is.

These next few weeks may be the biggest test of Luka’s young career. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
