The San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, and Chicago Bulls have agreed on a three-team trade, which sees De’Aaron Fox join the Spurs, Zach LaVine join the Kings, and assets heading to the Bulls, as Chris Haynes broke.

“Kings are trading De’Aaron Fox to the Spurs in a three-team deal that lands Zach LaVine in Sacramento along with three first-round picks, league sources tell.”

The full trade sees the Spurs land De’Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin, while the Kings land Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, three first-round picks (2025 CHA, 2027 SAS, 2031 MIN), and three second-round picks (2025 CHI, 2028 DEN, 2028 own back). The Bulls get the contracts of Zach Collins, Tre Jones, and Kevin Huerter while also getting the top-10 protections removed on their own 2025 pick via SAS.

Full Trade Details:

Spurs: De’Aaron Fox, Jordan McLaughlin

Kings: Zach LaVine, Sidy Cissoko, 3 First Round Picks (2025 CHA, 2027 SAS, 2031 MIN), 3 Second Round Picks (2025 CHI, 2028 DEN, 2028 own back)

Bulls: Zach Collins, Tre Jones, Kevin Huerter, Their Own 2025 Pick (via SAS)

This trade was heavily rumored from the moment the Kings decided to start listening to trade offers for Fox. He wanted to join the Spurs as his next destination, and San Antonio aggressively moved to acquire him immediately instead of waiting until the summer or his 2026 free agency.

Fox is averaging 25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.1 assists this season.

LaVine finally got out of Chicago and joined a franchise he’s come close to signing with multiple times over the years. Let’s not forget that LaVine literally signed a contract to join the Kings before the Bulls matched it almost a decade ago. He might justify the Kings to continue winning now, as he’s averaging 24.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists this season.

The Bulls’ overdue rebuild seems to be finally starting, as they reacquired the full value of their 2025 first-round pick which the Spurs were controlling. Collins, Jones, and Huerter won’t be major difference-makers but their contracts are far better to have on the books than just LaVine.
