Seth Curry is currently enjoying the best season of his career with the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 15.4 PPG while shooting 52.0% from the field and 46.5% from beyond the arc. It seems as though playing under Doc Rivers has benefited Curry’s game, and he’s been stellar during his time in Philadelphia.
In a recent interview with Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Seth Curry was asked about his individual goals for the season, with a potential 3PT contest appearance. While Curry claimed that his main goal is “to be efficient and shoot the ball at a high clip”, he does want to get a 3PT contest before his career is over.
I don’t have any individual goals for statistics. I want to be efficient and shoot the ball at a high clip. You brought up the three-point contest. I feel like I’ve got to add one of those to the mantel to be a part of the (Curry) family. Hopefully, I can get one of those before my career is over. Steph (Curry) already has two of them. If I get the invite, I’m going to go to as many as possible, so I can add one to the trophy case.
Currently, Seth Curry is among the top 5 in 3PT percentage for the entire league, and it is quite possible that he’ll get invited to the 3PT contest. Curry’s father Dell Curry stated previously that Seth believes he is a better shooter than his brother Steph, so his confidence clearly isn’t lacking.
The Philadelphia 76ers will hope that Seth Curry will continue his scorching shooting for the entire season, and they will certainly need his scoring while Joel Embiid is out. Hopefully, Seth Curry will be able to help keep the 76ers afloat, and the 76ers will be a very good team once Joel Embiid returns.
