Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers got another win as they continue to build chemistry going forward.
Westbrook had another good game, as he, LeBron James, and Anthony Davis are starting to gel better together and find a rhythm together on the court. Fans were thrilled to see the performance by the Lakers, dubbing them the best team in the NBA.
Russ had a solid performance, putting up 27 points and dishing out 7 assists. On top of that, Westbrook also had a great performance from the free-throw line, making 7 of 8 free throws that he had during the game. And his efficiency from the field was good, making almost half of his attempted shots.
Westbrook has been subjected to criticism recently, especially for some of his poorer performances. Recently, Westbrook notched a triple-double with 10 turnovers, and he is the player with the most of these since 1985. But over the last few games, he seems to have turned his fortunes around.
But his former teammate and Los Angeles Lakers Derek Fisher accidentally called him by a name many have thrown his way. During the Los Angeles Lakers’ post-game show on Spectrum Sportsnet, Derek Fisher accidentally called Russ ‘Russell Westbrick’.

The name ‘Russell Westbrick’ has been thrown at Westbrook mostly after games where he has a poor shooting performance. Russ is by no means an excellent jump shooter and has struggled to make his shots on a consistent basis over the last few years of his career.
His performance against the Rockets garnered a lot of praise. His teammate LeBron James spoke after the game and called Russ the most explosive point guard in the history of the NBA.
For Russ, this performance will be a huge boost. The more Russ gets to shine with the Lakers, the better it will be for him and the rest of the team. And the fact that he got to shine alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis last night could be a sign of things to come for the Lakers.
