Chris Paul has had a spectacular season, despite the fact that the Phoenix Suns were unable to win the 2021 NBA Finals. Paul’s leadership was a key factor in helping the young Phoenix Suns get to the Finals. It was the veteran point guard’s first time at the highest stage, and it looks as though he definitely wants to be back in the Finals.

In a recent interview with TIME magazine, Chris Paul revealed that after he got to play in the Finals, he felt “sort of addicted” to the experience. There’s no question that playing in the NBA Finals is certainly different, and that feeling is certainly unique. It would make sense for a player to want to make it back to another Finals and try to win a championship, especially after coming so close to the goal.

The Phoenix Suns will have an opportunity to try and make it back to the Finals next season. While there is certainly a possibility of them getting there due to some Western Conference teams being unknowns because of injuries to key players, there is also a possibility of them not being able to replicate their amazing run from this season. The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Russell Westbrook during the offseason, and they’re certainly the boogieman that the rest of the Western Conference has to beat.

There is no question though, that the Phoenix Suns still have a talented squad, and a trio of Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton has a pretty solid chance of winning against anyone. They will be running it back next season, and there’s a good chance that they have a solid regular season. Chris Paul will be crucial to whatever they do though, and hopefully, we can see the veteran point guard get another chance at an NBA Championship.
