Many have criticized LaVar Ball in the past for being too braggadocious about the future success of his sons. But given where all three Ball sons have landed in their careers, it is hard to argue that he was wrong. His three sons combine to earn millions and millions of dollars.

Let’s start with the youngest and the most successful of Ball’s sons. LaMelo Ball was the third overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. Going to the Charlotte Hornets, he immediately established himself as a future star, winning the Rookie of the Year award, and earning an All-Star nomination in 2022.

Ball signed a four-year, $35.5 million rookie contract, which allowed him to earn about $8.8 million a season. With his brilliant performances, he earned himself a massive five-year $260 million contract extension, which keeps him well paid till 2029. By then, he will have made a guaranteed $295.5 million in NBA salary.

His older son, Lonzo, hasn’t done quite as well for himself but has earned a good chunk of money in his career. After being picked second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft, Ball signed a four-year, $33.4 million rookie contract with the Lakers.

Upon becoming a free agent in 2021, Ball chose to sign with the Chicago Bulls for four years and $80 million, which pays him till the end of this season. Over his eight-year NBA career, Ball has earned $113.4 million in salary.

As for LiAngelo Ball, he hasn’t found success in the NBA despite numerous attempts. He would sign multiple Exhibit-10 contracts with different franchises, but get released before any of his money would be guaranteed. However, he has recently pivoted to a music career, and found success, with his song ‘Tweaker’ has become a success, currently sitting at 9.3 million views on YouTube.

In response to this success, Universal Music Group has decided to offer Ball a $13 million record deal, which includes an $8 million signing bonus.

Combining all of their career earning, the Ball brothers earn $422 million. This is a massive amount of money for anyone, and it shows that their talent was enough to help them find immense amounts of success across different fields.

LaVar Ball always believed in all his sons and propped them up to big successes. While his prediction about his three sons becoming NBA superstars has come short, there is no doubt that all three of them have been able to make their own way in the world and earn a lot of money through their talents.

If nothing else, LaVar should be praised for believing in his sons and showing them unwavering support. We often see some parents dissuade their children from pursuing their dreams. But Ball has done everything in his power to make sure that his sons know that he has their backs and help them gain any and every opportunity they need.
