Giannis Antetokounmpo is having an NBA Finals for the ages. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar is on a tear right now, leading his team to a 3-2 advantage over the Phoenix Suns.

He’s on the verge of winning his first NBA championship and most definitely his first Finals MVP award. Giannis has been on another level during this season, yet still, people find reasons to think he doesn’t deserve the FMVP.

One of those was CJ McCollum, who wondered how many votes Khris Middleton would get if the Bucks win the ring.

If bucks win this series how many votes does middy @Khris22m get for Finals MVP ? Bruh been serving and closing

Spencer Dinwiddie also asked the same, creating a hypothetical scenario where Giannis didn’t play Game 6, and the Bucks still win the title.

Just thought of an interesting “What if?”

Bucks still win…

Does K midd get Finals MVP?

This didn’t sit well among the NBA community, and even Rudy Gobert had something to say about it. The Utah Jazz star saw all these tweets as direct disrespect towards Antetokounmpo, calling everybody out.

i mean depends on the game he would have but giannis has outplayed Khris in 4 out of the 5 games so game 6 isn’t gonna sway it in mid’s favor

Let’s not take this too serious it was a @marvel inspired what if 😑

Giannis deserves Finals MVP if Bucks finish this thing.

— spencerdinwiddie.base.eth (@SDinwiddie_25) July 18, 2021

Lol facts, got called xenophobic over this.

Didn’t realize how much Giannis fans truly believe everybody hates him.

Regardless of what everybody says, Giannis is a lock for the Finals MVP if the Bucks win the championship. Khris Middleton has been great in the closing moments, but the Greek Freak is the leader of the team and the one carrying the heavier load against the Phoenix Suns.
