Sacramento Kings Want To Trade For Ben Simmons Without Giving Up De’Aaron Fox

Ben Simmons is one of the best playmakers and defenders in the league but it seems like he’s outstayed his welcome in Philadelphia.

Following his epic meltdown in the playoffs, some within the organization believe that he’s just not the guy they need right now and the team is reportedly fielding calls about him.

That’s why every single team in the league is inquiring about his availability, and that includes the Sacramento Kings. Nonetheless, Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee recently claimed that De’Aaron Fox is out of the question in any trade offer:

“The potential for a deal is there, but the 76ers are reportedly seeking an All-Star caliber player in return. De’Aaron Fox would probably fit that description, but sources have maintained the Kings are highly unlikely to trade their dynamic 23-year-old point guard,” Anderson reported.

The Kings are willing to part ways with other young stars not named De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton in any deal for Ben Simmons, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given their age and upside.

“Sacramento would probably be willing to offer a package that includes Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley III and one or more future first-round draft picks. One league source recently told The Sacramento Bee the Kings would have to send a minimum of three first-round picks to the 76ers in a trade constructed around Hield and Bagley. Another source said the 76ers wouldn’t be interested unless Fox or Haliburton were included in the trade, but Hield’s elite 3-point shooting and Bagley’s unrealized potential could be appealing if a better deal doesn’t materialize,” Anderson added.

Whether the Sixers will trade Simmons or not is yet to be seen. But we can be sure that, should they move him, it won’t be cheap.
