Chris Paul has made the NBA Finals with the Phoenix Suns, and it will be the first Finals appearance of his 16-year career. There is no doubt that he is special for both him and the Suns franchise, and he will now have a chance to win his first championship and heighten his status as an all-time great.

Former All-Star and NBA champion Mark Aguirre has recently stated that he believes in Chris Paul’s abilities to lead the Suns to the title. Aguirre also stated his belief that Chris Paul is the most valuable player in the NBA.

“I think they win the title. I really do.”

At this point right now, that’s left… Chris Paul is the most valuable player in the NBA right now. For that team to play as poised as they are, looking at the young kids that are playing, I look at what Chris Paul molded them into… They have an identity now. They know how they’re gonna play, and they play their way… I’m very impressed with him… I think they win the title, I really do.

There’s no doubt that Chris Paul’s leadership has been integral to the team, and as one of the veterans on the roster, he has years of playoff experience. The Phoenix Suns will need Chris Paul to be at their best, and perhaps he’ll be able to lead the franchise to a championship.
