Kendrick Perkins Lauds Khris Middleton’s Performance In Game 5: “He Finished With A Casual 26-13-8… Seem Like Batman Numbers To Me.”

2 Min Read

There is no doubt that the Milwaukee Bucks won Game 5 against the Atlanta Hawks due to amazing team performance on their home court. There were many players on the roster who took on extra offensive responsibilities due to the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, and one of them was Khris Middleton.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is viewed by many as the best player on the Milwaukee Bucks, but some disagree with that notion. Kendrick Perkins has suggested in the past that Khris Middleton is the true “Batman” on the Bucks, implying that he is the best player. Perkins continued with this train of thought today, after Middleton put in an amazing performance of 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists, showing his all-around game.

Khris Middleton is a great player. He has been selected to the All-Star team in the past, and has played at that caliber this season. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the player that has the highest usage on the team, and his mere presence forces defenses to stop him. On top of that, it is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s amazing performances that enabled the Milwaukee Bucks to be in their current position.

While Khris Middleton does get a lot of touches during late-game situations, there are few who would say that he is better than Antetokounmpo. However, that doesn’t mean that Khris Middleton is a bad player whatsoever, and he showed just how lethal he could be when given more touches.
