Trae Young Blames Himself For Embarrassing Game 2 Loss: “I Will Be Better.”

All throughout the first two rounds, Trae Young has played at superstar levels — which is much of the reason why the Hawks find themselves just three wins away from an NBA Finals berth.

But on Friday, he was shut down by the team with the 2x MVP, leading to a rather embarrassing final score of 125-91. 

After finishing with 15 points on 37.5% shooting, the Young star took full responsibility…

“I take full responsibility for what happened tonight … I will be better,” Young said, via Chris Kirschner of The Athletic. 

It was a rough night for the Hawks all around, and a bitter dose of reality after such a strong and surprising showing in Game 1.

Top to bottom, it’s no secret that the Bucks have the better, more experienced roster, and everyone expects them to win the series.

At this point, Young and his squad will have to take it upon themselves to prove the world wrong — just as they have countless times before.

But with the odds stacked against them, and the world ready to count them out, the Hawks have an uphill climb ahead of them. Over the next week, we’ll see just what they’re really made of…
