At this point, we are all aware of the talent and leadership of LeBron James. His value to the Lakers is unmatched and there’s no questioning that he is their best player.

But it is actually Anthony Davis who might be the key to their success this season.

The superstar big man can be unstoppable when he’s playing aggressively and it almost always leads to wins for the Lakers.

On Thursday, AD was a beast, dropping 34 points and 11 rebounds on 50% shooting.

But according to LeBron, there’s still another gear to be reached by the former Kentucky phenom.

Anthony Davis says LeBron James told him he still has "another gear" he can go to.

It’s pretty tough to imagine a player of Davis; caliber still having so much untapped potential, but that seems to be what LeBron is implying.

Obviously, as a star himself, King James would know what it takes to elevate his game in the most important moments.

For A.D., that important moment is now, with all the odds stacked against him and his team as they face a really talented squad.

If he can somehow bring up his play to a level we haven’t seen from him before, it would definitely go a long way in securing himself a second title.
