Karl-Anthony Towns is viewed as a top-tier offensive superstar in this league. Despite the fact that he’s not as hyped as some other players, Towns’ individual numbers speak for themselves. He is currently averaging 24.8 PPG, 10.6 RPG, and 4.5 APG. Those are All-NBA numbers, but the Minnesota Timberwolves position in the standings will likely prevent him from making a team.

Despite the fact that the Timberwolves have only made the playoffs once during his career, Karl-Anthony Towns has revealed that he is committed to staying with the franchise. He mentions Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan as examples of players who have stayed with one franchise their entire career and says that he aspires to have careers like them.

I hope to have a career like Kobe…with one team. Like Tim [Duncan] and Kobe, where it’s one team and try to bring as many championships as possible.

It’s been rocky times. It’s been real rocky times. Even times where they were gonna take the jersey off my back. I just really am happy to still be here an play for this amazing city and state, and to be able to stay here and affect change in the community.

Unless the franchise decides to move on from him, Karl-Anthony Towns seems like he is willing to stay put in Minnesota. The Timberwolves do have some solid players on the roster with D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards. It remains to be seen whether that trio can win a championship, though, with a player like Towns, it isn’t necessarily out of the question.
