Lonzo Ball is having a terrific year in his second season with the New Orleans Pelicans. The point guard was the subject of a lot of criticism over the past two years, especially when he was part of the Los Angeles Lakers young team that struggled to win games.

Well, he was one of the pieces dealt to NOLA in the blockbuster trade that sent Anthony Davis to Los Angeles. After having a bad first season, Lonzo returned ready to prove doubters wrong and he’s doing it, becoming one of the best players on the team.

He recently sat down with Shams Charania of Stadium to discuss his relationship with LaMelo Ball, his development since he entered the league and how things have changed for him this season. Zo was asked what’s next for him and he replied that the goal is to become an All-Star now.

“Individually, being an All-Star is definitely my next goal on the list and I think that should be coming up pretty soon.”

Ball’s numbers have improved this year, showing that he got to work to help his team reach the next level. It doesn’t seem like he will stay for long in NOLA seeing that the franchise is trying to build around Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram so it’s highly likely that we’ll see Lonzo playing with a different team soon.

He won’t miss suitors this offseason and some candidates seem to have a pretty good case to acquire Ball’s services in the free market.
