Steph Curry Received ‘MVP’ Chants In Philadelphia While Kevin Durant Received ‘KD Sucks’ Chants

The Philadelphia 76ers fans are very curious, to say the least, as you don’t know how they will receive a player when their team is facing them. We’ve seen them booing Kobe Bryant in the past, even though the Black Mamba was a Philly native but that didn’t prevent them from showing ‘tough love’ for the Los Angeles Lakers icon.

More recently, they received Kevin Durant with some curious chants, telling him he ‘sucks’ when KD wasn’t even playing. The Brooklyn Nets superstar was as surprised as the rest of the world because he hadn’t done anything to piss the Sixers fans. That showed that the fans are very committed to the team this season and they will try to do anything they can to get under the skin of rivals.

However, on Monday night, when Stephen Curry torched the Sixers in a close, hard-fought game, he was received with ‘MVP’ chants. Steph has been on a tear in recent games and every fan around the league is in awe with the Golden State Warriors superstar and his recent performances.

He went for 49 points against the Sixers, the best team in the East, who couldn’t do anything to stop the Splash Brother. Curry keeps making good things in the league and this shows that even if he goes off on your team, you have to admit is great to watch him play.

It is the same for Durant, don’t get me wrong, but the Sixers are more likely to meet him in the playoffs than they are to meet Curry. Steph put up a show while Durant was sidelined and the easier victim was the 2x NBA champion. The Sixers and Nets could create a big rivalry and fans are taking advantage of that.
